Default Very slow processing - 06-25-2005 , 03:34 PM

One of my partition in the cube takes two and a half hour to process while
other similar partitions takes about 40 minutes. I tried to use performance
monitor see what happen and found there is a lot temp file bytes writting.

What's the other approachs to troubleshoot the problem?

Try update your statistics and defrag your indexes.
I have the same problem, but its because I load some tables at the same
time, and the disks can't provide a better throughput.

if you empty the table before you load it, try update the statistics just
after the delete process.

There is a whole section on optimizing processing in the AS Performance
Guide
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../ansvcspg.mspx
Enjoy. There is good stuff in it.
