Default Validmeasure in Excel 2002 and 2003 Pivot table - 09-06-2004 , 04:54 AM

I have a problem using the pivot table of Excel 2002 (SP2) to show a
"validmeasure" in a virtual cube.

For instance, if I define a calculated member ValidSales as
'validmeasure([Measures].[Store Sales])' in the virtual cube
'Warehouse and Sales' of Foodmart 2000, and put on the pivot table
ValidSales on rows and Warehouse on columns (ie a dimension nor
related to the measure [Store Sales]), I can see the Validsales
(=value for All Warehouses) under each Warehouse, Canada, Mexico and
Usa (due to the validmeasure operator); but if I exclude one of the
country from the select list on the columns members, for instance
Mexico, all values disappers.

With Excel 2003, the pivot table works correctly, ie excluding one of
the meember on the colums members, I can still see the (same)
ValidSales under the other members.

Is this a known issue of the Excel 2002 pivot table, fixed in Excel
2003?

Thanks,
Francesco
