we currently stored our data in Oracle 8i. I was wondering
if the MS SQL Services can talk and create cubes in Oracle.

thanks for replying..I'm new to SQL OLAP services...currently, we are
using HOLOS from Seagate..we use Crystal Analysis Professional to build
worksheets on these cubes... we are experiencing lots of problems with
HOLOS..so I'm trying to look at another tool .....
you mentioned we can use another third vendor tool to view the cubes
once they are built..do u know if I can use Crystal Enterprise from
Crystal to pull data from these cubes? (I would be using Crystal
Analysis Professional)

Yes it can - but there are lots more to choose from - in a test between the
leading front end's (including Microsoft's own excel pivot + web pivot) it
didn't score that high - I think because it doesn' support all the features
in Analysis. You be the judge - here's some links to the test.

It's a great test - among other things you can download the questions (and
database) used so you get an idea of what they focus upon.
