Hi there I have a requirment where we use Analysis service to narrow
down some date, however after defining a cell of data the user wants
to see all the detail records behind this cases.

So I will end up with let's say 250 employee's, now I wanna create an
action that takes in the background all the 250 employee ids and
fetches me their profiles from a different table in the database.

Is this possible to do with Analysis Services ? (I was thinking of
going via a http action so I can put the query that fetches all the
250 ids with details from the db in this .aspx page).

The real problem is that the required data are basically a flat file
structure that is around 400 characters long and the user wants to
play with these raw data after selecting them via tons of criteria in
the cube.

Am I on the right track or way off ?

PS: another option I was thinking is drill-through however I tried
with BO and it doesn't really work

Have you considered using Drill Through to Detail on your Cubes. That
will allow your users, once they get to a certail cell within your
Cube to get the underlying data in essentially flat file form, once
you determine what fields they can see.

From within Analysis Manager, go to Tools Menu, then go to drill
through options.
