Using Analysis Services to retreive text data

I have no idea about Analysis Services

Can anyone tell me if i can use Analysis services to retrieve data from
a text based column.

Analysis Services works best with measures that aggregate, but there are
a couple of approaches to working with text fields. The best resource I
