Default using analysis manager - 10-15-2004 , 03:23 PM

I am having trouble from a workstation on the network that I have loaded
analysis manager on browsing the cube. I can see the design stuff and
settings, but it seems to not allow me to view it . The error given is
Unspecified Error, any ideas?
Thanks for the help.
Chris

The answer is yes...there is both an analysis and an sql server sp and you
need to do something on the client
if you'll be using owc or excel.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...52c-0488-4e46-
afbf-acace5369fa3&DisplayLang=en

After following these instructions you need to run the ptslite or ptsfull
file on the client ... ptsfull installs all Microsoft Data Access
components - not sure what lite does - perhaps it only installs access to
analysis services (if you don't want to have other data connections
installed) - i install full.

You can perhaps access cubes without installing the pts - it is recommended
by microsoft as i recall...
