I have a VB application that queries data from an analysis services cubes. When users try to login to the anaylsis server they get a 'Database not found' error. However if I give the users administrative rights to the server then they can login without any problem. The application also uses DSO objects. Is there any other way besides giving admin rights to the users. Thanks in advance for your help. |

I added the users to the olap Administrators group. But I am still getting the following error when I try to connect using DSO. Cannot connect to the Repository -----Original Message----- Oops, I misread you questions. If you access AS with DSO you need to be an OLAP admin. Remember they don't need to have local admin rights so in most cases this is an acceptable security practice. Khalid, You remembered to use Analysis Manager and map the user accounts to a Database Role, right? If not, only admins can connect.
