Default URGENT - How to move a cube (including data) from one server to another - 05-07-2004 , 03:31 PM

Hi

I've processed a cube in a given server and now I need to move it to another server (cube and data). Is there any way to do that? I was trying to copy and paste the cube, but it seems that it must be reprocessed in the new server (and that takes about 12 hours)...
Please, is there any way to do that

Thanks in advance

Daniela Binatti.

You can archive the database and then restore the entire database on the
other server.

Can I move just one cube?
I have two servers: the olap server and another one, which is more powerful than the first. The second one I'm using to execute the full process because it's faster.... but the execution takes more than a day. So, I move one cube at a time to the production server and that's why I can't archive and restore all the database

Is there any other possibility?

Thank you very much

Daniela Binatti.

You must move the entire database. To move just one cube, your only option
is to cut & paste the metadata and then do a full reprocess.
