Default UPDATE CUBE Reference - 10-04-2005 , 02:27 PM

Hi everyone,

I need some books, PDFs or references about MDX and UPDATE CUBE. My
statetments works but the values are not correct and I assume It is because
of the Allocation Method (USE_EQUAL_ALLOCATION, USE_WEIGHTED_ALLOCATION, etc)
but I have no Idea how does these allocations works. Everything I found on
the Internet is very superficial. Do anybody has some good reference?

Thanks in advance,

Igor R. Alcantara

Please, could you post your statement, what result do you expect and what
result do you get really?

What I want to understand better is the expression after USE_EQUAL_INCREMENT
BY because when I try to change the value in a parent member which is Integer
and It has many children with the same value (zero, for example), the
children values are 1000% different or more. For example, if I want to change
a parent from 0 to 1000000 with 365 children, each child had to be close to
2740 but some of them are close to 1000 and others close to 5000.

Do you know what I mean? Is there a way to fix this issue with Integer values?

Thanks for your help,

Igor R. Alcantara
