Default Unspecified error - 05-13-2004 , 04:53 AM

I recently installed Analysis Services on my SQL server.
I cannot see any of the sample cubes data tab. It
shows 'Unspecified Error'. I created new cubes from the
same Sample database (FoodMart 2000) but same problem.
How can I see the Cube data? The data source connection
is OK.

Greetings

Seems to me like a client/server connectivity issue; it could happen if you
have some older version of the PTS client component (for instance, if you
have installed Office 2K recently and for some reason PTS has not been
upgraded properly to SP4). You will also need to upgrade every fat client so
that the SP version match that of the server.

System config:
Windows 2000, SP4
SQL2000 Standard, SP4

When I process a cube everything looks fine. When I attempt to review the
cube data I get the following message:

"Unable to display the cube until it has been processed (Unspecified
error)"

Any clues that might help me resolve this issue are much appreciated.

BTW, it has been a while but this installation used to work fine...

Dave
