Default Unary Operators - 11-20-2003 , 11:26 AM

In the Micrsoft Step by Step Anaylsis Services book chap 4
they explore a finance cube. They use Unary operators to
do custom rollups. Do these operators need to already
exist in a field of your DIM table. I would like to be
able to type them in through the DIm editor. Is this
possible?

Yes - this is possible. Just make the dimension write-enabled, and create an
empty column for unary operators. Then in the dimension browser you will be
able to create new members, delete existing ones, change their position in
the hierarchy, and change unary operators.
