Hi,
Yes, me too.
I'm really waiting for this too... guess we'll have to wait.

I downloaded and installed it.
Now when I start Excel I see for 5 times this dialog box:

Microsoft Excel can't run this add-in.
Microsoft Excel cannot install the necessary files due to Windows Installer
error 1605.
This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

Nevertheless, the add-in seems to work.
Unfortunately my first impression is that the add-in is very poor and with a
unusable and not standard user interface. Some operation is really
counter-intuitive. The only good reason to use this add-in is to create a
"traditional" report consolidating data from different cubes. But all the
deficiencies of the Excel PivotTable are absolutely not solved by this add-in.
Only the write back seems to be a significative advantage.

Of cours, I'll try it more.

I want to make a correction to my previous post.
This Add-in directly supports actions and drillthrough; the search function is
something really easy to use.
So it's not so bad, but it's really a tool useful to create "static" report,
it's not useful as a tool to navigate data (like the Pivot Table). I'd like to
see the union of these two tools, without many compromise.

Just to add a note: it's really so complex to read the value format provided
by Analysis Services? Even this Add-in totally ignore what Analysis Services
provide, so you have to redefine the correct value format: having at least a
default format like the one provided by Analysis Services could be a good
thing.

Joerg,

I tried but it doesn't work - I still see the Excel format.
Several attempts: even creating a brand new report after setting the default
option for the AddIn

Same disappointment for lack of MDX insert.

Hello Marco,
check options for formatted values.
I like that tool because its support actions and writeback.
I am a little bit dissapointed cause there is no possibility to insert own
mdx statements.

Best regards
Jörg
