Default Unable to display current view of cube.... - 08-01-2003 , 02:41 PM

Hi,

We have a cube with 4 dimensions and a fact table. There are 799732 records
totally. When we processed the cube, it took about 1 minute to process. when
we are browsing against 2-3 dimensions it took long time and gave this error
:

" Unable to display current view of cube.
There is not enough memory available to display the requested cell set. "

What could be the reason for this and how we can solve this ?

Also, is it possible to edit the cube at a time by 2 users ?

Thanks a lot !!!

This is simply a limitation in the cube browser included in Analysis
Services.

From a previous post:
----------------
The problem is in the UI grid (msflexgrid) the browser uses. Even if there
are no values in the cell, dimensioning the grid to contain lots of cells
will cause it to run out of memory. I recall 1000 rows x 1000 columns to
cause it to run out of memory even if there is nothing in any of those
cells. I recommend you try using Excel or some other client application to
produce the report you're looking for.
