Default Unable to connect to Analysis Services SQLServer2000 - 03-02-2006 , 06:54 AM

Yesterday it became impossible for me to connect to Analysis Services.
Both my ProClarity client and MS_Excel connection(PivotTables) failed.
Excel reported "Unable to open connection Unspecified Error"
and ProClarity "Unable to connect to (Servername)"

Any idea what might have happended as it is no longer possible to use
Analysis Services over the network?

To further clarify this works from other PC:s in our organisation
so I suppose there is something wrong with the OLAP provider in my PC
"Microsoft OLE DB provider for OLAP SERVICES 8.0".
Message is "OLAP SERVER ERROR: Unspecified error"
I have tried to reinstall Microsft Office 2003 but that didn't help.
Any other suggestions ?

Sometimes repairing/re-installing office can cause problems with the
OLEDB provider for AS.

If you extract a copy of the files that are part of the service pack
that is currently installed on your server you will find a file in there
called PTSLite.exe. This file contains the OLEDB provider. Run that on
your client and see if that fixes your issue.
