I have a dimension with two levels but I there are no aggregations
involve. What is the easiest way to turn this off

there is a property called "Aggregation Usage" for each dimension. Select "No".

Actually a better technique is to go to the dimension in the cube editor and
look at the aggregation usage advanced property. Set it to Top Level Only.
This removes the dimension from consideration by the Design Storage Wizard
and the Usage-Base Optimization wizard.
