MSAS installed on C drive. Is there a way to tell MSAS to use another drive
for the data storage instead of the drive it's installed on?

Thanks.

Hi Yubo,

To change the data storage path of MSAS, you could set in the registry.
Here are the detail steps below:

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using
Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

1. Open registry.
2. Set the key value of the following registry key to the data path which
you want.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP Server\CurrentVersion\RootDir
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP
Server\CurrentVersion\RootDirefault
3. Restart the OLAP Service

When you create a new database, you will find the file and folder of the
new database under the path which you want.
