We have a requirement wherein we need to display textual
measures stored in the fact table. Obviously i do need any
aggregation in this context.

Does AS support text as measures in cube? If not, are
there any workarounds?

AS supports text measures, but not all clients do (Excel 2000 shows up only
zeros instead of text values). you can view text values in PivotTable from
OWC.
