Hi ,

I have some textual information like comment fields which I have
included in my Fact tables. I want to display these comments along with
my measures in the measure group.

I tried to create a wChar measure by adding the text field from DSV and
setting aggregate to None. But while deploying the Cube I get an error
for the data type.

Is there a way to achieve this in Analysis Services 2005?

Tables in AS2k5 can play the roles of both fact and dimension at the
same time. So I would think that you could setup a degenerate dimension,
that can hold this text information as an attribute.

I have one question regarding the aggregate function 'None' point. I
created a measure in measure group anad calculated member as mentioned
in your link for handling Comments. When I browse the cube, measure
added to the measure group shows (null) and my calculated member has
(null) because of that.
If I change the aggregate function to 'Min' I can see the same caption
for all the members as expected.

I am sure missing some thing here as per the books Online, I should be
getting the dimension ID for measure with aggregate function as 'None'.

Can you suggest some things I should be aware of while setting
aggregation to None?
