Hi There,

I am just about beginning to work with Analysis Services and I am
having a very basic problem. I am trying to create a Mininig Model
using the wizard provided with the Analysis Services mmc. When I
create a New DataSource and when I pick a system DSN, which uses a
third party ODBC driver, I am unable to see any tables in the list.
Test connection works fine, the connection is "connected". I set the
ODBC driver on debug mode and confirmed that a list of tables is
returned by the database(be it SQL Server, DB2, ORacle or AS400). When
I use the native ODBC drivers provided by MSDASQL (MDAC) I can see the
list of tables and can proceed as desired. I really want to use the
third party driver(I have tried a couple of them and they all fail at
the same point). No error is logged by Analysis services. Hope someone
can provide an incite into this problem. I run SQL Server 2000 with
the latest Service pack installed for both SQL Server and the Analysis
Services.
