Suppressing the display of dimension members with facts

When drilling down along a dimension, all the dimension members are visible eventhough there are no measures associated with them. How can such dimension members be suppressed from the display?

AS is capable of doing this but depends on the client as to if/how to set
the setting. (If you're writing MDX precede the axis specification with NON
EMPTY.)
