Default Substitute for OWC9 - AS 2005 - 12-01-2006 , 02:30 AM

Hello !

I want to Upgrade from SQL-Server 2000 to SQL-Server 2005 Analysis
Services.

Now we use the Office Web Components 2000 (OWC9) as OLAP-Frontend in
our company, clientside, programmed with vbscript.

OWC9 dont work with SQL Server 2005 AS, so I need a substitue.

Can somebody recommend me a good and CHEAP tool, client- or serverside.

I took a look at radarcube and dundas 5.5 with olaptable.

Who has experience with these or other tools ?

Thanks
aaapaul

OWC11 works fine
but the interface is not optimized for SSAS2005

Take a look at ReportPortal.

and for a really cheap solution... use reportbuilder which is part of
SQL2005/RS2005.
or the sample application:

The pricing stragegy of strategycompanion can be interesting and maybe can
answer your needs.

but cheap is cheap... and I recommend to verify your budget because the cost
of integrating a tool into your own application can become higher then
paying a professional tool.

good luck
