I installed SQL Server 2005 EE 64bit version on Windows 2003 64bit I installed Database, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services Database is connecting and working fine but when I try to connect from a workstation which has Windows XP (SP2) via SQL Server Managment Studio it gives following error TITLE: Connect to Server ------------------------------ Cannot connect to myserver\dev. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient) ------------------------------ Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (System) ------------------------------ An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host (System) ------------------------------ BUTTONS: OK ------------------------------ Can any one help me to solve this problem, -- Regards, Kawish Siddiqui |

Common issue is to not have enabled remote network connections on the server... You can use the Surface Area Configuration tool to enable this.
