Default SSAS connection from XP (Urgent) - 04-26-2006 , 01:26 AM

I installed SQL Server 2005 EE 64bit version on Windows 2003 64bit
I installed Database, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis
Services

Database is connecting and working fine but when I try to connect from a
workstation which has Windows XP (SP2) via SQL Server Managment Studio it
gives following error

TITLE: Connect to Server
------------------------------

Cannot connect to myserver\dev.

------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running.
(Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)

------------------------------

Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection
was forcibly closed by the remote host. (System)

------------------------------

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host (System)

------------------------------
BUTTONS:

OK
------------------------------

Can any one help me to solve this problem,

Kawish Siddiqui

Common issue is to not have enabled remote network connections on the
server... You can use the Surface Area Configuration tool to enable this.

Hi,
thanks for reply,
I have enabled remote connection by surface area configuration and still
problem is same
In my case, when I try to connect database and SSAS from another PC which
has Windows 2003 Server (32 bit) it works fine but when I try to connect
from a client of Window XP SP2 or Windows 2000 Advance server then database
connects finely but SSAS gives this error.

if there is only remote connection enabling issue in this so why it is
getting connected from PC which has Windows 2003 Server I think that is also
attempting for remote connection.

any comments or suggestion about it ?
