Default SSAS 2005 Proactive Caching - 12-06-2005 , 03:23 PM

I'm interessed by proactive caching into SS2K5.
I saw : http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175646.aspx
I would like more detail on the underlying mecanism in term of query into
the relational database (what are criteria ? does it sends simply a query
each sec, min or hours) ... for medium latency or automatic olap.

thanks and regards,

Hi Renaud,

This TechNet paper discusses some details of the proactive caching
mechanisms - the Appendix explains custom settings and gives an example
of a relational polling query:

This appendix provides additional details of the proactive caching
settings, and the use of polling queries and incremental processing
