Default SQL2K5 - Measure Attributes - 11-18-2005 , 04:21 PM

I know we can create attributes for dimensions but what about mesaure
attributes? I've looked around UDM and there isn't a concept of it.
If not, does anyone have a kludge I can use?

you have to create a new measuregroup based on the same table as your
dimension table.
your dimension become a dimension & measure group at the same time.

you can also use a calculated measure to "convert" an attribute into a
measure.
but this option doesn't aggregate your values.

You can create degenerate dimensions (a dimension that is created off a
fact table).

Maybe if you could explain the scenario of what you are trying to do
there might be some other possibilities.
