Hi Daniel,
Check the application event viewer on the server machine to see if Analysis
Services is crashing with event 117. The server if crashed will stop and
restart automaticly.

Also just to confirm what account is being used you can modify the
AuditEvents registry setting to a value of 15. And this will put the the
application Event log what account is attempting to connect to the AS
server. if the account is someone other then the SQL Agent accoun then there
could be a security issue.

In Event viewer :

SQL Server Scheduled Job 'Processa Analysis'
(0x41E41DC9A2C30A479D2C357863130F27) - Status: Failed - Invoked on:
2005-05-05 00:00:01 - Message: The job failed. The Job was invoked by
Schedule 6 (Processa Analysis). The last step to run was step 1
(Processa Analysis).

The account is the same account as SQL Server agent.

"Also just to confirm what account is being used you can modify the
AuditEvents registry setting to a value of 15" - How I do that ?

Thanks

I did as you told me (I think).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,software, microsoft, OLAP Server, Current Version,
AuditEvents. Was 13 then I changed it to 15.
Where can I see the result of this change?

Thanx,
