Does anyone know if there is a difference in anaysis server shipped with the
enterprize version and the standard version?

yes, there is some differences
look at the SQL Server web site for a complete list.
But there is the most importants point not supported in the standard
edition:
* Dimension write back
* Cube Partitioning
* Real time OLAP

Sorry. This didn't format well at all. Just go to SQL Server books online,
look under the topic:

"Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2000"

This lists all of the various features; including Analysis Services.
