Default SQL 2005 SP2 when will be available - 11-23-2006 , 06:43 AM






SQL 2005 SP2 when will be available

I have installed on the Test server SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 CTP and
all problem that I have are solved. Can someone give me some information when
the official SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 will be available?

I heard that it will be released next January.

If we upgrade an instance to SP2 (CTP), can we simply apply SP2 (Release) on
top of the SP2 (CTP)? Or will we need to uninstall the whole instance,
re-install SQL 2005 and only then apply SP2 (Release)?
