Default Semi additive measures not supported in SQL 2005 Standard Edition? - 06-21-2006 , 04:56 PM

When attempting to deploy a cube to a SQL 2005 Standard Edition
installation, we are prompted with an error message that states:

Errors related to feature availability and configuration: The 'Semi-additive
measures' feature is not included in the 'Standard Edition' SKU.

Is this true? Or is something else afoot here?

Thanks,
Steven

Hi Steven,

Indeed, this does appear to be true:

Wow! That suckz! Analysis Services is basically useless in the Standard
Addition - Semi Additive Measures are a common need for data analysis such
as inventory levels, etc.
