Default selective aggregation - 06-02-2005 , 06:54 AM

Hi...

Exploring something that seems rather spaced out but here goes...

Imagine if you have a simple cube that has two dimensions: one is time,
and the other is a hierarchy of geographical location of branches of a
supermarket.

There is only one measure - which is the daily turnover.

I also have a calculated member, which belongs to [Measures], that
calculates the day on day % change in turnover.

If you access this cube through an Excel pivot table, and selectively
choose certain days on the Time dimension to display, the Automatic
total will not take them into consideration when calculating the total
turnover.

But this doesnt work for the calculated member.

Is there a way to rollup at those "totals" that will take the user
selection into consideration?

Thanks,
L
