Default security role lost after adding calculated members to a virtual cu - 11-04-2004 , 08:58 PM

I wrote a script to install a several named set and calculated members to a
virtual cube. As a OLAP admin, I was able to browse the cube and found the
new calculated members work fine.

But one of our client (belong to one of the cube role) could no longer see
the cube. After further investigation, we found the security file was blown
away after the script run. Basically we have to remove and add the role back
in AS manager to restore the order.

Have you seen the similar problems, what is wrong here?

Yes, this is a known issue with non-structural updates to virtual cube.
Unfortunatelly, no solution exists other then refresh roles to get them
recreated on the server.
