Hi Experts! Every day, I backup my OLAP database using msmdarch utility. Additionally, I would like to have script of my OLAP database for every day, eg Sales_20050515, Sales_20050514 and so on. Generaly, I'm using the "Meta Data Scripter" when creating the script manualy. But is it possible to include the metada data scripter in everyday job? ie I would like to run meta data scripter from command line. Does anybody has some sample? Another option - use dso / xml conversion utility. Is it possible to run utility from command like for creating xlm? Thank you Ramunas Balukonis |

The metadata scripter is an Analysis Manager addin. It cannot be called from the command line. The DSO/XML utility has a command line interface. -- Dave Wickert [MSFT] dwickert (AT) online (DOT) microsoft.com Program Manager BI SystemsTeam SQL BI Product Unit (Analysis Services) -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
