SAS and Analysis Services

Is there any way to build a cube in Analysis Services
using SAS (or more specifically a SAS dataset) as a data
source. All the cubes I have built up to now have SQL as
the data source.

Yes,
in the data source definition you have other possibilties of data sources.
Just make connection to your SAS database and you can build OLAP cube
directly from SAS.
