Default sample database in olap.. - 06-04-2005 , 05:30 PM






hi, when i install analysis services in win2k3, i get foodmart 2000 sample
database. but when i install analysis services in winxp, i dont get the
foodmart sample db.

Very strange.
What happens if you try to restore it by-hand?
An archive CAB file (and matching .mdb file) should be located in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Samples

When you say you don't "get" the sample database - does that mean it does
not appear in the Analysis Manager or does not appear when a client
application fetches the list of catalogs from the Analysis Server?
