Default Restoring AS - how to - 05-06-2005 , 03:20 PM

We have our repository in SQL Server and also backup our data folder on a
daily basis (these are kept in sync).

Anything else that needs to be done besides the following to restore AS?

1.. Stop the service
2.. Restore the archived OLAP database in SQL Server
3.. Change the repository connection string to the new location. There may
not be a new location if the database is a restore.
4.. Copy the archived data folder to the location specified in Analysis
Services
5.. Start the service

Assuming that all of the other registry settings are the same, e.g. memory
management, etc., then that is it :-)

This is talked about in the AS Operations Guide.
