Default Reregistering Performace Counters for OLAP services - 02-03-2006 , 12:03 PM

Whenever running perfmon on my SQL 2005 server, I receive the following error
in the event log...

Windows cannot load extensible counter DLL MSSQLServerOLAPService, the first
DWORD in data section is the Windows error code.

Data:
0000: b1 36 00 00 00 00 00 00 ±6......

I believe that something is amiss with my performance counters, but cannot
find a way to re-register them. Any ideas?

If you can allow it, the first suggestion is to re-install Analysis
Services.
Or at least try installing another named instance and see if you can access
perfmon counters.

Edward.
