Default Reporting Services - When / What - 08-06-2003 , 10:38 AM

I have seen some links about this new exiting product and could someone
confirm or perhaps
even give further information regarding to these statements

a) The product is due for test in august - this is not a public test ?
b) I have seen the page regarding this test and signed on - if this first
round is not a public test will it be followed by a public test ? If yes -
when ?
c) It is to be released when more preciously ? Late 2003 - or even before ?
d) It will just be a tool you can download if you already got SQL Server ?
e) It has a total report design facility ?

Right. Reporting Services (codename "Rosetta") is included in the current
Yukon beta 1 which is not public.

The latest SQL Server releases have had wide public beta releases at the
beta 2 stage, so I think the SQL Server community will be disappointed if
they don't get anything... Dates for the beta releases are of course not
public.

Release dates on Reporting Services have not been publicly announced. Last
public announcment was that Reporting Services was planned as a seperate
release later this year.

Pricing/licensing has not been publicly announced.

Yes! And processing! And delivery!

Thanks Cladio - but I had already read that link - don't think it answers my
questions below - though - perhaps d+e but these wasn't the ones that I was
most uncertain about.
