Default remote server not running on default port - 08-07-2003 , 11:41 AM

I have a remote server that we have set up to run on a
port other than 1433. Using the client network utility, I
have set up the alias to this server, and am able to
connect to it with both enterprise manager and query
analyzer, but not analysis services. Any ideas what I
need to do here? I've tried the alias, and
ddd.ddd.ddd.ddd,pppp and ddd.ddd.ddd.dddppp but no luck.

You can set port in the connection string, for example
192.168.10.10,<port.>

As I said in the original post, I tried this.
I tried this when I attempted to connect in Analysis
Manager, and in the parameters for the setup of an alias.
As I said in the original post, this alias works fine in
query analyzer and in enterprise manager. Just not in
analysis manager.
