Hi,

I'm trying to move a bunch of partitions on to a new disk in my dev
environment. I've modified the properties of the partition so that the
storage location is now set to where i would like the partition stored.

I would guess all that needs to occur physically is the underlying files of
that partition need to be moved to this new location. But how/when is that
done by SSAS?

What level of processing to i need to do to get my partition data to it's
new location - if i need to process at all? All i'm trying to achieve is the
movement of the existing partition data.

I did originally try to restore the database and move the storage like that.
However, SSAS forces you to use the default location for data if that is
what you originally had set for ALL your partitions. Not good!
