Default Realtime OLAP and Oracle, DB2... - 07-02-2003 , 08:38 AM

Hello,

Does anyone out there know if it's possible to enable
realtime OLAP with a non-SQL Server datasource (dimension
data stored relationally in Oracle, DB2, etc). The
documentation does not mention this scenario either way.

A simple yes or no would be sooooo appreciated!

Thanks.

Official real-time OLAP support in Analysis Services requires the data to be
in SQL Server. This is because SQL Server 'knows' about Analysis Services
and can tell it to drop caches when external data has been updated in real
time.
