Hi,

Thanks for using MSDN Mnaged Newsgroup!

From your descriptions, I understood that you meet error 1011 when trying
deloying SSABI to a new server. Have I understood you? If there is anything
I misunderstood, please feel free to let me know

Unfortuantely, I am not a specialist on SSABI, so I will try to call some
expert on SSABI to give a reply for furhter troubleshooting

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are here to be of assistance!

Sincerely yours,

Mingqing Cheng

Hi,

Thank you for taking care of my issue.
I am getting this error when I try to run BrowseBatch.exe. (please see the error description in my original post. I'm not sure that 1011 is the error number. It could be the number of some locale that BrowseBatch is looking for)

The SSABI deployment in itself worked ok.
I do need the BrowseBatch functionnality before I make the system productive though, as it allows me to rollback data imports.

Hi,

There are a couple of possibilities to look at. Check the directories under
the ..\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Accelerator for BI\bin directory
for the BrowseBatchRes.dll file.

What is the regional setting for the machine that returns the error?

John,

The BrowseBatchRes.dll is under the \MS_SSABI\bin directory as I deployed under another drive as the C drive.

On both the development and the deployment server, there are four subdirectories under bin, called 1031, 1033, 1036 and 1041, and the dll is in each of those.
I have now registered all the dll's under 1033, as my locale is English (United States), and I assume it corresponds to 1033.

Previous problem seems resolved.
I now have the following error, after I choose the server and database in the first dialog of BrowseBatch:
339, Component 'TABCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

So I guess, I'm missing more dll's.

The deployment machine runs Windows 2000 Server SP4, and SQL Server + AS SP3a.

Problem solved.

After getting and registering all missing dll's one by one, I'm able to run the BrowseBatch utility.

Many thanks for pointing me into the right direction.
