Hi all, In BI Development studio after setting up my cube and dimensions (using the wizard), I can't tab to the Browsing tab of dimensions and the cube. Basically the Browser tab does not work for me. I get an error saying that a connection can not be made and that I have to make sure that the server is running. I have Analysis services and all the other related services started on my machine. I have a connection to the SQL Server 2000 which has our db which I am trying to create BI for. I do have the latest sps on that SQL Server 2000. All the other tabs seem to work. What am i missing? Thanks, Amadelle |

[adding the OLAP newsgroup] The cube browser tab uses OLE DB to connect to your AS 2005 whereas deployment uses AMO, which might explain why you were able to create/process your cubes successfully. It's possible that you installed some Office components (Excel, for instance) that made the AS 2000 OLE DB for OLAP provider (msolap80) the default instead of the AS 9.0 provider (msolap90.dll). Try re-registering "\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB\msolap90.dll" (using regsvr32.exe). -- -Raman Iyer SQL Server Data Mining [This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.] "Amadelle" <Amadelle (AT) discussions (DOT) microsoft.com> wrote in message news BC32EA4-2C7A-4AB3-9009-BC5CFC960A04 (AT) microsoft (DOT) com...Hi all, In BI Development studio after setting up my cube and dimensions (using the wizard), I can't tab to the Browsing tab of dimensions and the cube.
