I believe we have basic authentication on the web server with respect to
IIS but I'm not sure this is the problem. We are using anonymous access
as far as all the AS connection information is concerned. The fact that
the OWC charts work fine tells me that our Analysis Server has no
problem allowing our web server to access it. The only time we run into
an issue is the custom MDX code that I included in the ASP to get the
cube process date.

This is why I begin to wonder if something is missing on the IIS server.
I wonder if MDX queries require some special objects to run from an IIS
server. My guess is the OWC work because they are client based but the
MDX is failing because it is server based, but I'm really fishing at
this point.
