If you want to use client tools which rely on PTS for accessing Analysis
Services and you need access over Internet, then you pretty much need
Enterprise Edition.
The alternative is to build/buy thin-client solution which may end up
costing more then Enterprise Edition, depending how complex it will be.

There are many commercial products which have thin browsers built in into
them (TemTec, Proclarity, Novaview etc) You probably will be better of by
visiting www.olapreport.com to get the full list.

Or you can build your own (like 30% of people who use Analysis Services do).

All the authentication schemes of IIS are at your disposal - i.e. basic,
digest, Integrated, Passport. In addition you can build your own scheme. If
