They are all in the same domain and they are seeing each other. The only thing that the clients are not seing is the OLAP service. The clients can see shared folders on the analysis server, they can even see the tables in the SQL/Analysis server. Thank you for your response. vaughn -----Original Message----- Is there a trust relationship between your client machines and the Analysis server? Are they part of the same domain? Analysis Services always uses the equivalent of trusted connections (to use a similar SQL Server term, but it is slightly different in our world, but it is close). -- Dave Wickert [MSFT] dwickert (AT) online (DOT) microsoft.com Program Manager BI Practices Team SQL BI Product Unit (Analysis Services) -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. I have SQL 200/Analysis Services running on a Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6. I started developing cubes in the NT server and to test the BI client I also installed the Excel XP on the same NT server and everything seem to be running great. But when I was setting up Excel XP Data Connection Wizard on the other PC in the network, I cannot connect to SQL Server Olap Services. Its giving me error: Unable to connect to data source. But the funny thing is when I try to connect through Microsoft SQL Server, I am able to connect without any problem. I am able to see all the databases and all the tables. Please help, Vaughn . |
