Hi, I've got almost the same error as Nelson Paily. I have an application with Office Web Components 2000, but it cannot connect to OLAP, since the provider is not available. SQL Server 2000 and Analysis Services are installed on this machine such that when I try to install ptslite.exe ou ptsfull.exe it says that the parent application (Analysis Services) is already installed and it cannot install. I also tried to register components manually (regsvr32 ...), using a Microsoft article to redistribute OLAP Provider with no success. The machine also have VB 6 installed, and when I drop a PivotTable on a Form, and select OLAP 8.0 as provider (because it is in the list of connections) it says that the provider isn't installed properly Can someone help me about this ? I tried almost everything I thought possible. -- Philippe Meunier Programmer CHCA Computer Systems Inc. |

Hello, I would like to know if you try ton install the SP3 of Analysis Services? It could correct the bug. Have you install office XP Dev or VS.NET recently it broke the provider, you need to reinstall SP3 to correct the issue HTH Patrice "Philippe Meunier" <pmeunier (AT) chca (DOT) ca> wrote in message news:%23bwO0J1WDHA.2256 (AT) TK2MSFTNGP10 (DOT) phx.gbl... Hi Patrice, Thanx for answering so fast ! I am currently performing the test to check if your solution is working. Office XP is installed on this machine, so it may be the cause of the problem. One more question I may ask : What if the machine is a client machine, i.e. it does not have Analysis Services or SQL Server installed, but Office XP is installed on it. Will I be able to install Analysis Services SP3 or something that corrects the problem ?
