Hi all

I still have have the problem, but I noticed that if I reprocess the cube using the AS interface, the dynamic security works
If I reprocess the cube using a job, the problem still remain
My question is

-is there a workaroud that solves the problem
-why I can't use a job to reprocess the cube

Thanks in advanc
J

I created a dynamic user security adding a statement i
the Advanced Tab of the Custom dimension security, using the filter an

This solution seems to work properly, and the users can connect to th
virtual cube using Excel PTS
The problem is that very often the connection to the cube is lost and th
user can't connect to the virtual cube when he/she opens a previously save
Excel file

Every day a job processes all the existing cubes, virtual cubes included
so they should be processed; I don't understand where the error i
generated

There is a known issue with updating roles and virtual cube. If the databas
role is updated, users may lose access to the virtual cube, and virtual cub
needs to be reprocessed. Perhaps this is what happens in your case
