Dear Gurus,

can anyone guide/teach me how to create a *.cub file? is it true that SQL
Server 2000 cannot generate *.cub file but only via Excel Olap? anyone with
experiene to shed a light here or any url ?

I saw a post which described three ways:

1) Through Excel as you describe
2) Through MDX - not sure in what context this MDX was supposed to be
executed - but surely it wasn't from Analysis Services - I'm a newbie so I
can't show the sentence - and I can't find the previous post
