Only if the problem is ACLs on the Analysis Services bin folder.

Dave,

Seems to me that the easiest thing to do is Migrate the
Repository to SQL Server 2000. Do you think that will
solve all my problems??????????? thanks,

We will need more information. Is it all users or just
users trying to
administer the AS server (i.e. running Analysis
Manager). Are all
client-side tools returning the same error? MS Excel,
Office Web Components?
If you have another Analysis server available, can you
remotely access the
server using the MDX Sample Application. Can you browse
the data from the
server itself?

Please Help!!

I have an olap application. I have installed sqlserver
2000 (sp3) and SQL Server Analysis Services (sp3).
Users
log into a domain. I have created a Domain Level Olap
Administrators Group. I have added my users to that
Domain Level Administrators Group. I then added the
Domain Level Administrators Group to the local server
OlapAdministrator Group. I still cannot connect to
Analysis Serivces. It gives me an error saying "No
Information Provided" I have tried adding the users
directly to the local OlapAdministrators Group.
Nothing
works, I have turned on Audting, the error message is
of
no use, it just says "user closed connection". If you
log on to a client machine as the domain administrator
you can connect to Analysis Serives, but not as a local
domain user say (bill). Bill needs to get access to
analysis servives. Please help!!!!

Thank you!

It sounds like that is the problem. However, I am not
100 percent sure. Are there any other ideas on what
could be causing the problem?

Thanks!
