[KK] You must write something more about Your architecture:

1. Is Excel (client) and OLAP (server) on the same machine?

2. Do You use domains?

3. What about access the user to the OLAP machine (user, Administrator ,
OlapAdministrator)?

4. Is the user added to OLAP Database Roles?

Kornel

1. Is Excel (client) and OLAP (server) on the same machine?

No. I have a OLAP Server in a Windows 2000 Server, and Excel in a Client
PC.

2. Do You use domains?

The server dont use domains.

3. What about access the user to the OLAP machine (user, Administrator
,
OlapAdministrator)?

I try to access with an user Windows Server.

4. Is the user added to OLAP Database Roles?

Yes. The user of Windows is added in the general rol (access for all
cubes).

Thank's for your help Kornel ...

If You don't use Domains - You must have the same users (LoginID, Password)
on both machines.
Then, You have to login as the user on client machne and try to connect.
Note, that while connecting to OLAP via Excel You have a form (names
Multidimential Connection) to write server name, user ID and Password.
There is also a note: "You need to provide autentication information only
if oYou are establishing a HTTP connection".
So, first of all Excel is trying to connect by Domail/(Windows)
authentication. So You must have the same user on both machnes.
You must know, that OLAP is dedicated to Domains instalations and there is
much better to use OLAP in a domain network.
Rg. Kornel.
PS. Maybe there is a better way to solve this problem, but I don't now any
other.
PS2. While connecting to OLAP server You must use Microsoft OLE DB Provider
for OLAP Services 8.0
