sounds like a security issue assuming you can register the same server locally. Are those 2 servers located in a same domain? Your current login to the remote workstation needs to be a member of the olapadmin group of the olap server machine. Hi, Francis You can turn on Analysis Service AuditEvents via registry: Modify the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP Server\CurrentVersion\AnditEvents to 15 (Dec), the default value is 13 (Dec). And then reproduce the problem. This time you can see the actual login name from Application event log. Is it the same account or not?
